Administration Assistant (Cedars)


We have a vacancy for an Administration Assistant to join our friendly team. You will be proficient in using Microsoft Outlook and Excel and will have a strong organisational approach to work using a methodical approach, whilst maintaining attention to detail. Ideally you will have at least 2 years’ experience of working in an administration role in a busy environment and used to multi-tasking and prioritisation. You will be expected to meet and greet visitors and welcome people to our home.


Because the administration assistant is usually the first face that families, professional visitors and prospective residents see when they walk through the door, it is a really important role. He or she is also the first point of contact for telephone enquiries, so a confident and pleasant telephone manner is a must.

The job holder also supports the administrator and home manager in ensuring the smooth running of the home. Reporting to the administrator, he or she liaises regularly with the care, nursing, activities, housekeeping, facilities, training and catering teams within the home as well as the organisation’s support office and also with external suppliers and professional visitors. The administration assistant works with the administrator in ensuring that enquiries from prospective residents and/or their families are logged onto the electronic system each day and that prompt follow ups are completed.

To be successful in the role, the administration assistant needs to have a strong organisational and methodical approach to work with particular attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills. Experience of working in an administrator role in a similar, busy environment would also be beneficial.
